EXPLORE YOUR FUTURE IN HEALTH CARE EVENT
The “Explore Your Future in Health Care” event held at the Hy-Vee Arena in Kansas City on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, featured over 50 exhibitors and healthcare leaders from hospitals, healthcare organizations, and specialized career programs to share hands-on career exploration activities with over 1,000 middle and high school students from both Missouri and Kansas. Missouri HOSA attended as an exhibitor and featured a staff-developed board game called “Discover Your Passion – Build Your Career”, where students tested their knowledge and skills related to HOSA-Future Health Professionals while learning details about various healthcare careers. Shelly Wehmeyer, Director of Health Science Education and Missouri HOSA Executive Director, represented Missouri HOSA with Valeria Gonzalez, Missouri HOSA President-Elect, who is an 11th grade student at Frontier STEM High School.

MoACTE LEGISLATIVE DAY
Missouri HOSA’s State Officers joined other Career and Technical Student Organization members at the Missouri ACTE 2026 Legislative Day on February 10, 2026. As Missouri HOSA members and Future Health Professionals, it’s important that we advocate for our organization and share our mission, vision and four core values as we continue to grow. We were excited to see so many Missouri HOSA members there!
